Our Story

For every Filipino-American who misses the glow of a parol on Christmas Eve. I Love Pinas Shop was born from a simple truth: that the holidays feel different when the traditions of home are missing. We import authentic Filipino handcrafts directly from the artisan families who make them — capiz parols, woven rattan bags, and ornaments that carry the warmth of a Philippine Christmas across the ocean. Every piece we sell has a story. Of the hands that made it. The tradition it carries. And the Filipino heart behind it.

Shipping & Returns

Everything you need to know before you order.

Orders are packed and shipped from Jamaica, New York.

Processing time is 2–5 business days before your order ships. This may extend during peak season (September–December).

We ship via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Tracking is provided once your order ships.

Free shipping applies to all Capiz parols and clothing. For other items — ornaments, R Kitchen Gourmet, rattan bags, and others — shipping cost depends on quantity and location. This applies to US mainland orders only. For Hawaii and Alaska, please contact us in advance, as shipping cost and time will vary.

We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier once a package has shipped, or for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses provided at checkout.

International Orders — Customs & Import Taxes

If you are ordering from outside the United States: buyers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees assessed by their country. These are not included in the item price or shipping cost. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing. Please check with your local customs office for anticipated charges before ordering.

Because we work with small-batch, handcrafted, and perishable goods, our return policy differs by category.

In general, returns and exchanges are not accepted. If there is an issue with your delivered order, please contact us. Damage due to shipping or defects must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

We are unable to accept returns for reasons of buyer's remorse. Custom or personalized orders are final sale unless defective.

Damaged or Defective Items — What To Do

Contact us as soon as possible, and no later than 7 days after delivery. Keep all original packaging materials — including the box, inserts, and cushioning/bubble wrap. Photos of the damage and the packaging are required to process a claim, as this is also a requirement of our third-party shipping insurance. We will provide instructions for the photos/videos needed.

Once approved, we will email a prepaid return label at our expense. We will replace the item if available, or exchange it or issue a full refund if it's out of stock.

We carry third-party shipping insurance on fragile items like parols, which is why photo documentation of both the item and packaging is required — this isn't us being difficult, it's what our insurer requires to pay out the claim.

Capiz Parols & Electrical Décor

All parols are 110V, suitable for standard US and Canadian outlets. Our parols are not fully waterproof. They ship with a protective plastic covering, but this does not create a complete water seal. Because they contain electrical/LED components, we recommend indoor use, or a covered/sheltered outdoor space (such as a covered porch) out of direct rain and wind — wind exposure can also cause damage, so please secure the parol if displaying it outdoors.

You're welcome to remove the protective plastic once the parol is displayed indoors, but we recommend keeping it on for longevity, especially for any outdoor or semi-outdoor exposure. Our parols use LED lighting, which stays cool to the touch, so heat buildup under the plastic isn't a concern.

Décor, Ornaments & Home Goods

These are handcrafted items, and small variations in color, texture, weave density, or glaze are normal and part of the character of handmade goods — not considered defects. Damaged or defective claims follow the same 7-day, photo-documentation process described above. Fragile items should be handled with care and are not intended for outdoor exposure to freezing temperatures, which can cause cracking.

Clothing (Modern Barong & Filipiniana Line)

We recommend reviewing our size chart carefully before ordering, as fit can vary by style.

Ready-to-wear items: unworn items with tags attached may be exchanged for a different size within 7 days of delivery, at the buyer's shipping expense, subject to availability.

Made-to-order or custom-tailored pieces are final sale, except in cases of defect or an error on our part (wrong item or size sent).

Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached to qualify for any exchange. Piña fabric and other natural/traditional fabrics may require special care — care instructions are included with each garment. Returned items are strictly inspected upon receipt, and refunds may be denied if the conditions above are not met.

Filipino Food Products

Due to food safety regulations, all food product sales are final. We're unable to accept returns or exchanges on food items once delivered, except when an item arrives damaged, spoiled in transit, or incorrect.

Please inspect food items upon arrival and report any issues within 48 hours of delivery, as freshness-related claims need to be reported quickly. Product labels include ingredient and allergen information as provided by the originating manufacturer or artisan producer — please review labels carefully if you have food allergies or sensitivities. Some items may be temperature-sensitive; if timely delivery is disrupted by the carrier, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assess the item's condition. We are not a substitute for professional advice regarding food allergies, dietary restrictions, or health conditions — always check the label.

Order Cancellations

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change to your order. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled — please refer to the policy above.

Contact Us

For any questions about an order, a return, or these policies, reach out to us at ilovepinasshop@gmail.com or through our shop message center. We're a small, two-person team, so please allow 1–2 business days for a response during peak season.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if my parol arrives damaged?

We pack every parol carefully, but if damage does occur, contact us within 7 days of delivery and keep all packaging materials. We'll ask for photos of the damage and packaging, then send a prepaid return label. We carry third-party shipping insurance, so we appreciate your patience while the claim is processed — we will replace the parol or issue a refund if it's no longer available.

Can I display my parol outside?

Our parols aren't waterproof and contain electrical components that can be damaged by moisture. The plastic covering offers some protection but isn't a full seal. We recommend indoor display, or a sheltered spot like a covered porch, out of rain and strong wind.

Are your parols 110V?

Yes — all parols are 110V and suitable for use in the US and Canada.

Do I need to remove the plastic covering?

It's up to you. We recommend keeping it on for extra protection, especially outdoors. Our parols use LED lighting, so there's no heat buildup concern under the plastic.

Can I return clothing if it doesn't fit?

Ready-to-wear pieces with tags attached can be exchanged for a different size within 7 days; return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. Made-to-order/custom pieces are final sale unless defective.

Can I return a food item I don't like the taste of?

Food items are final sale once delivered, except for items that arrive damaged, spoiled, or incorrect — please report those within 48 hours of delivery.

Do you ship internationally, and who pays customs fees?

International shipping is offered. The buyer is responsible for any customs duties or import taxes charged by their country.
